"Happy FiftyOneDerful"

WOW! Yesterday I celebrated my 51st birthday. I received so many incredible messages and one of them was "Happy FiftyOneDerful!" I absolutely love that sentiment and my intention is to do and be just that!

I've now tipped to the other side of the half century mark and I actually feel better and more vibrant than I did in my 20's! And I want to help you feel the same no matter what your age. Do you know where that starts......it starts with your state of mind!

In my book this is the first and most important aspect of overall health and well being. Once you've established that positive mindset then you can start on the fun part. I like to call it my "Foundation for Healthy Living." Here are three simple steps you can do right now to create YOUR Foundation.

Step 1: You are what you eat so choose wisely!

Check out www.BroadwayFit.com for one of the most amazing weight loss and health programs out there. This is the very program that I start my personal clients on and it's how I eat as well! The program teaches you how your body works, how to optimize your fat burning potential and create optimum health. It truly has been the strongest influence on me in regard to any nutritional program. It truly works!

Step 2: Move your body.

Physical activity is great not only for your body but your mind and soul as well! So what's your cup of tea when it comes to physical fitness? Gym, outdoor activity, organized sports, one on one personal training, mind body modalities, dancing, extreme sports or just simply walking?

Whatever it may be jump in full throttle. Your body operates like a well oiled machine when you start moving it.

When you're sedentary, your body can sink into what some call "couch potato syndrome" and this can be a major contributor to heart disease, osteoporosis, adult-onset diabetes and cancer. So get moving! Even if you just walk 20 minutes a day.

Step 3: Sleep is not overrated!

Get your Zzz's to reboot your body. The most beneficial sleep that you get are the hours before midnight. Shoot for 7-8 hours to make sure your body gets the time to reboot. I know this might seem hard for you but it's vital that you try.

Here are a few added benefits of getting your Zzzz's.

1) Improved Memory

2) Reduced Inflammation

3) Better Performance

4) More Creativity

5) Beneficial for Weight Loss

6) Reduction in Stress Levels

7) Mood Enhancement
